There are numerous forms of needleart, many of which can be mixed and matched.  There's a technique and style for everyone and everything.  From fashion to home decor, to just plain fun. . . you can make just about anything yourself. . . . A personal statement, a trendy new style or something for a friend . . . there's really no end.

But if you want a definition —
Fiber Arts has come to be the general term used to identify the practice of creating a finished item utilizing a thread, filament, cloth and/or embellishments.  These activities include everthing from weaving to macrame, spinning to cross-stitch and everything in between.

The term "Needlearts" further defines a type of Fiber Art that includes a wide array of hand techniques utilizing a needle and some kind of fiber, yarn or thread in an effort to create a final product that may be both functional and attractive.
