Thank you to everybody who participated in our survey regarding the possible scenarios for the Cash & Carry component of 2015 shows. At last count we had 466 submissions, giving us a very strong picture of how to proceed.
While there were individual strong opinions about the strengths and weaknesses of all four options, there was a clear preference in the final results.
We asked you to provide a rating of 1-4 with 1 being the MOST preferred scenario and 4 being the LEAST preferred. The final ratings were:
Cash & Carry held on the show floor as part of the regular trade show. At the show, everything remains the same, but exhibitors will have the option to do Cash & Carry on the existing trade show floor.

Cash & Carry will be held on the show floor, but in a separate section designated just for this purpose. Any company wanting to participate in Cash & Carry would need to be in this section.
| || |
Create an entirely separate location for Cash & Carry WITHIN the convention center, but not on the show floor during the event.
| || |
Create an entirely separate location for Cash & Carry outside the convention center during the event.
It should also be noted all product segment groups had the same preferences. So based on your feedback, we will proceed with planning for Option #1 at the 2015 shows.
The taskforce understands there are many legitimate concerns on how this will work best. Two questions can answered right here:
- Will Cash & Carry be open to the public?
No. TNNA events are wholesale only and only open to the trade.
- Will all exhibitors be required to participate in Cash & Carry?
No. This will be entirely optional.
There are other concerns that will require further study and planning:
- Will there be storage areas for both exhibitors and buyers?
- When will Cash & Carry be open?
- Will Cash & Carry cause vendors to get state business licenses and collect sales tax?
What other concerns do you have that are not included here? Please submit those to us.
