Why Indianapolis?

TNNA is excited to return to Indianapolis.

Indy has served as a "home-away-from-home" for our mid-year show before. This year, a shift in timing forced us to once again look for an alternative to Columbus.

Joel WoodcockAs then-President Joel Woodcock explained when the 2014 date and location were announced...
"The schedule of TNNA shows and markets is continuing to shift toward the best possible timing for each of our product segment groups...The big shift from June to May was intended to be better for yarn, spinning and weaving. As it turns out, it is also good timing as a 'bridge' show for needlepoint between the January show and the Fall Needlecraft market."

Of course, Indianapolis has plenty to offer on its own!

Traveling to and around Indianapolis is easy, convenient and affordable. Known as the Crossroads of America, Indy is within a day’s drive of over half of the country’s population. For those arriving by air, the LEED-certified Indianapolis International Airport is a short, low-traffic 15 minutes from downtown. The airport has racked up tons of accolades for its smart design and customer service and is a fitting welcome to a city known for hospitality and visitor experience.

Indianapolis is not only convenient and welcoming, it’s anchored by the Convention Center, putting you just steps from big city excitement. The Convention Center is located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis with close proximity to the State Capitol, Union Station, Circle Centre Mall, Victory Field, Bankers Life Fieldhouse ... and of course, Lucas Oil Stadium.

Getting around the Convention Center and Downtown is easy with skywalk connections to more hotel rooms than any other city in the nation. Also linked to a four-story urban shopping mall, surrounded by more than 200 restaurants and clubs, well-known sports venues, and a 10-block state park that features top museums, green space and a convenient canal walk – all within walking distance.
