Nothing feels better than your favorite knitting store. Warm and cozy and filled with beautiful colors and textures. Unfortunately the ledgers are balanced with numbers and only two colors. You have to make money to stay in business. Today independent dealers face many challenges from industry giants. Do these giant corporations hold all of the cards or call all of the shots? Not even close. Customer association, operational excellence and product leadership are all in the independent's favor. Programs like Clover Vision and Tool School have also been developed to strengthen your competitive position. This class will transform your perception of size and power and help you recognize the many competitive advantages easily within your grasp.

After writing four best-selling books of innovative sock methods over the last 15 years, with the Sweet Tomato Heel my work is done. The STH is easy to fit, a pleasure to knit, and easy to learn or teach - so you can teach it in your shop to both new and long-time sock knitters. The STH's smooth, curvaceous heel was inspired by my lucky discovery of an innocent little trick that closes gaps without holes, wraps, or acrobatics. In this workshop, you will learn to knit the heel, how to fit different kinds of feet, and how to design your own socks. We'll also talk about how to use this short row method for shaping sweaters, hoods and other garments. Must be able to work in the round on DPNs, 1 long circ, or 2 circs without supervision.
