Call for TNNA Committee Volunteers
Committee Role Overview:
Board – Sets the strategic direction, approves budget, oversees the health of organization, stewards resources in best interest of achieving the mission.
Committee – Is a group of members assigned by the President to accomplish a particular set of objectives that support the strategic plan and direction. Provides industry insight.
Staff – Executes board directives, takes actions that support the board’s decisions, stays within the approved budget, and handles administrative tasks.
*Commitment: 1 to 2 hours a month via conference call.
**All committees have a Chair/Co-Chair, Board Liaison and Staff liaison. A typical committee has up to five (5) committee members assigned.

Submissions are due June 28, 2019.
The Bylaws Committee shall suggest any changes in the Bylaws that would improve efficiency of the Association; shall recommend any changes in the Bylaws to the Board; shall receive and study all suggestions for additions or deletions of amendments, alterations, repeals, and other changes in either the Bylaws from any source, and shall report their recommendations to the Board. Members of any category may make suggestions directly to the Chairperson of the Bylaws Committee, with a copy to the Executive Director. The Bylaws Committee shall conduct an annual review to ascertain all resolutions, motions, amendments made to the Bylaws, Special Rules of Order, and Standing Rules have been updated within the appropriate documents.
The Content Committee focuses on finding content for the TNNA blog and bi-monthly digest, both on a bi-monthly basis and thematically as part of a larger strategy; suggest diverse contributors for articles and posts; write and contribute pertinent content as needed; and provide feedback on submission ideas — all while ensuring the quality and relevance of TNNA’s content remains a top priority.

The purpose of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee is to bring together members of the TNNA Community who are engaged in diversity outreach initiatives. The committee shall discuss, communicate and create collaborations in ongoing and upcoming initiatives that support the goal of enhancing the environment for diversity, inclusion and equity across TNNA.

Local Yarn Store Day
The Local Yarn Store Day Committee and the staff work together in the promotion of the event including outreach via TNNA social media channels and building awareness via other TNNA events.
Marketing & Social
The Marketing and Social Committee collaborates with the staff to establish programs that support the TNNA strategic plan. The 2019 area of work has been focused on the development of a resource hub and online communities on the web site. The 2019 - 2020 projects include Social media campaigns and a Consumer information page.
The Membership Committee collaborates with staff to establish and promote programs for recruitment and renewal of TNNA members. The committee strives for integration and retention of members as well as initiatives designed to stimulate growth in all membership categories. Identifies and reviews ideas for new benefits and services for members.
The Spinzilla Committee provides advice to the staff production team in developing a relevant, market-oriented program.
