Steps to Submit a Great Proposal

Click on each step below to learn more.

Step 1: Tips

When submitting your Proposal, there are a few things we’d like you to keep in mind,

  • Provide as much detail as possible
    • It’s often hard to review proposals when they are incomplete or do not have enough detail on the technique/business tip that is being shared so please include as much as possible
  • Include photos of your finished product/pattern for the students to see the final results
    • We receive many requests to see the final product but often do not have anything to share
  • Propose new class ideas
    • Our members are always looking for the latest trend, newest pattern or hottest business trick to retain customers
    • We often receive class proposals on social media, essential techniques and business classes, while these classes are important we urge you to think outside of the box
      • Social media is always changing, so think of creative ways to showing how YOUR social media class will be different and how they can tie this back to their business
      • Business classes are critical for our members. They are always looking for NEW ways to make money for their business. These are the types of classes that do very well.
      • Technique classes help share the fundamentals of the needlearts industry. While all levels of technique are important, we want to share new tips/tricks on existing techniques and increasing the level of skill. This means we’re looking for more advanced technique skills than essential.
      • Interactive Panel classes help our students dive deeper into the presented topics. You'll be able to connect one-on-one with your peers and the facilitators to gain more knowledge than before!
  • You’re able to propose more than one class, so if you have a few ideas… Share them all!
    • Teachers that are able to teach more than one class (submit more than one proposal) are often easier to add to our schedule of classes
    • Two is always greater than one!

Step 2: Submission Details

  • First, select what track your proposal fits into
    • Business Data Made Simple
      • Learn to effectively manage cash flow, plan your marketing, and invest in your future using data you already have.
    • Expanding Your Expertise

    • Leveraging New Tools and Technology
      • Gain insight into the latest tools and technology, including social media, photography, software, and mobile devices.
    • The Two-Way Conservation
      • Learn how to effectively engage with customers and vendors through various communications channels.
    • NEW: Alternate Topics and Formats (Panel Sessions)
      • If you're interested in presenting on a topic that addresses multiple audiences like wholesalers and retailers, looking to propose a unique session format, or to share an experience that falls outside of our traditional tracks, this option is for you!
  • Second, you’ll complete all required fields within the form
  • Once you’ve completed all required fields, you can click submit
  • You’ll receive a confirmation email that your proposal has been submitted
