TNNA is a trade association open only to verifiable businesses providing services and/or products for the needlearts industry.

Applying members must provide business IDs before membership can be approved and activated.

Renewing members are required periodically to provide updated IDs, in order to ensure that all members and show attendees are truly qualified to participate.

Affiliate Member Business Identification


Designers - individuals who design for industry wholesale and retail companies or magazines Must provide the following items:

  • Two letters of introduction from current TNNA Wholesale Members representing their product segment*
  • Published work (e.g., print or online pattern published within the last two years, full copy) OR published article (published within the last two years, full copy)
  • Must have published with the last two years or have a letter from a current TNNA Wholesale Member stating that you are actively designing for them

Other Businesses or Individuals Providing Professional Service to the Needlearts Industry (e.g., author, business & marketing services, copy or tech editor, finisher, graphic or web design, illustrator, photographer, teacher, web/video development, etc.) Must provide:

  • Two letters of introduction* AND two (2) items from the following list:
  • Resume or biography
  • Published work (e.g. magazine, show or conference)
  • Outline of class projects you have taught
  • A copy of catalog if available (if not available, a 3rd letter or recommendation from a current TNNA Retail member)
  • Description of areas of specialty finishing
  • Printed or online literature about services
  • Copy of current invoice of $200 or more
  • Resale tax certificate
  • Copy of company check
  • A copy of published material (e.g., book, magazine, website, blog, etc.

Academic or Museum Professionals - those individuals with interest in needlearts industry education (e.g., professors, museum professionals, educators representing textiles, fashion design, etc.) Must provide:

  • Two letters of introduction*
  • Print or online material with information about school, college, museum, etc.
  • Resume/CV/Biography
  • Outline of classes

Manufacturer’s Representative Must provide:

  • Two letters of introduction*
  • Copy of a current commission statement from a recognized industry wholesaler

Organization Must provide:

  • Two letters of introduction*
  • Print or online material with definition of organization (e.g., membership brochure, newsletter, etc.)
  • Copy of Articles of Incorporation
  • Copy of company check

Publisher Must provide:

  • Two letters of introduction*
  • Copy of published material (e.g., magazine, book, Website, blog, etc.)
  • Company business card

*Letters of introduction or recommendation are to be from current TNNA Wholesale or Retail members stating that they are familiar with your current work in the needlearts industry.
