TNNA Announces 2013-2014 Board of Directors, Retail Council

TNNA Announces 2013 - 2014 Board of Directors, Retail Council

ZANESVILLE, OH — The National NeedleArts Association (TNNA) has announced the members of its Board of Directors, as well as Retail Council, for 2013-14.

The Board’s elected officers are as follows:

  • President: Dale Lenci, DJ Designs
  • Vice President: Beth Casey, Lorna’s Lace
  • Secretary-Treasurer: Hal Ozbelli, Universal Yarn
  • Immediate Past President: Joel Woodcock, Lantern Moon

Debbie Rowley, DebBee’s Designs, former Counted Thread & Embroidery Group Chair, and former Secretary-Treasurer Sharon Garmize, Sharon G, have retired from the Board. TNNA welcomes new Board members Penny Franz, Ewe Count, who is also the new Counted Thread & Embroidery Chair; and Donald Lynch, Associated Talents, Inc.

Continuing on the Board are:

  • Barbara Bergsten, Barbara Bergsten Designs
  • Matt Bryant, Prism Arts, Inc.
  • Sharon Crescent, Crescent Colours
  • Barry Klein, Trendsetter Yarns & Lotus Yarns
  • Kirstin Muench, Muench Yarns, Inc.
  • Pete Poitras, JP Needlepoint
  • Dave Van Stralen, Louet North America
  • Dona Zimmerman, The Web-Sters, Inc.

In addition, the Retail Council is charged with overseeing the association’s activities relating to education and retail communications. The Council’s elected officers are as follows:

  • Chair: Dona Zimmerman, The Web-Sters, Inc.
  • Vice Chair: Bobbi Kreb, Amazing Threads, Inc.
  • Secretary-Treasurer: Mary Stowe, Yarns Etc.

New Council member Nancy Laux, Needle House, succeeds retired member Lori Mazza, Waste Knot Needlepoint. Randi Nelson, The World in Stitches, and Bobbi Kreb, Amazing Threads, Inc. were re-elected to Council.

Continuing on the Council are:

  • Carol Grant, Cross My Heart, Ltd.
  • Debra Koch, Stitches ’N Things

"We’re pleased to once again have such a dedicated, knowledgeable and hard-working group of industry professionals on both the Council and Board,” says Executive Director Patty Parrish. "We’re working toward a number of business goals in the coming year, all of which will benefit our members.”
